Young, Adam Michael 25, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021.
Beloved son of Michael “Mike” and Nancy Young (nee Strubberg); dearest brother of Sarah Young; grandson of Paul A. (the late Catherine Ann) Young and Carol (Wayne) Henderson and the late Ewald Strubberg; our dear nephew, cousin and friend of many.
Adam was a proud Graduate of St. Louis University High School. Then he went to Mizzou-University of Missouri Columbia having accomplished a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering where he worked at ICON Mechanical as a Project Manager. Adam was a big St. Louis sports fan and named his dog Vladi after Vladimir Tarasenko.
SERVICES: Visitation Thursday May 27, 4:00 – 8:00 pm. Funeral Friday, May 28, 9:45 am from KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois Rd. to Sacred Heart 17 Ann Ave (Valley Park) for a 10:30 am Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Louis University High School.

I was a brother of Adam’s in Lambda Chi at MIZ… a year older but always in close proximity. Shared the same major and some classes together. My heart hurts for family, friends, loved ones. He will be remembered as a funny, caring individual. Had a habit of lighting up any room he walked into. My thoughts are with you in this very hard time.

Nobody ever had a bad word to say about Adam, and I’ve known him for as long as I can remember. Growing up, he was a great friend to me and to many. The Mooneys send all our love to the Youngs. God Bless.
I went to middle school and college with Adam. Though we weren’t close, he was always so nice and friendly when we did see each other around Columbia and on campus. Thoughts and prayers go out to you all. I am so sorry for this loss.

Our son, David, was fortunate to be Adam’s volleyball teammate at SLUH and Mizzou, in addition to being his fraternity brother. Adam was a few years older and we’re thankful that David had him to look up to. Our memories of Adam are as a caring young man with a sweet spirit who was a competitor on the court. We are so sorry for your loss and are praying for all of you.
