Max A. Waltrip, a St Louis resident, passed away on 2/ 7 / 21 at the age of 73. He was the beloved 45 – year husband of Christina;  treasured sibling of Dorcas Blackburn, Sue McLean (deceased), Paula Wilber, Mark Waltrip, and Frank Price (step-brother); cherished son-in-law of Benny and Bob Norton; dearly loved father of Ross Waltrip (deceased) and esteemed grandfather to Jacob Waltrip and Adam Wilmes and all of their extended families. Max served his country from 1968-69, in the Army’s tank division. He received a BS in 77 from SLU and an MBA from SIU in 82. He worked for Mo Pac RR for 20 years and Volvo for 17. He was a very intelligent man with an uncanny wit. He loved to socialize & travel, whether at backyard fish fries, hiking, dirt biking, scuba diving, and watching football.

Visitation: Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road 63129, On Sat. Feb. 20th from 10 a.m. until service at 1 p.m. Donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.  Interment: Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery – immediate family only.
