She emigrated to Australia after WOrld War II and then to America in the 1960’s, where she earned her MSW in Social Work at St. Louis’s Washington University. She worked for the Missouri Department of Mental Health for over 20 years, until her retirement in 1988; since then she lived in South St. Louis , but occasionally travelled with friends to Russia, Ukraine, Egypt, Sicily, Spain and Brazil. By those who knew her, she will be remembered for her generous and caring spirit, her intelligence and her vivacious personality. Hers was a life truly well-lived.
