Al was long time friend and mentor. He was a dedicated volunteer with BSA. He was awarded the Silver Beaver in 2010 in recognition of his contribution of time and talent to our youth.
My best friend along w steve. Al was a man of his convictions. He was loyal beyond words. To be his friend was an honor, especially if you were not from south st louis. Alois made my scouting experience stellar. I shall miss him to the end of my days

Al & I go back a long way. We work together on the 3rd trick on the railroad and he always Calle me chief. We spent many of nights talking and drinking coffee. I was the one who introduced Al & Marilyn. Little did I know that they would get married. I was Al”s brother-in-law and we would always talk railroad when we would get together. May you and Marilyn Rest In Peace, Brother.

Remembering Al as a faithful scouter and tent mate during our service together for Catholic Adventure Weeks, Al was as loyal as they come. I am proud to have been able to all him friend. May he be welcomed with open arms by his beloved Marilyn and the Lord Himself.
Al was a pleasant person to deal with as a customer. Frequently he would speak of his children and his scout activity with pride. I feel blessed to have known him. Please accept my sympathy. Jerry Steiniger
Haven’t Known Al as long as some but nevertheless he was a great friend and scouting mentor. What a wealth of knowledge he was. That will sure be missed. Lord, you have a new scouter in your heavenly troop. Welcome him with your ever-loving arms wide open.
