Kareem I. Suhwail (Sam) passed away at the age of 91, peacefully in the arms of his family, July 12, 2022.  Kareem was born in Jerusalem and came to this country for an education and a better life.  He raised a wonderful family in St. Louis, Missouri, with his loving wife the late Latefee Suhwail (nee Nackley).

He is preceded in death by his brother Jihad and sisters Julia and Siham.  He is survived by his sisters Suhaila and Hiam.

He was the cherished father of Laurice Badino, Michael Suhwail, and Rose Ann Kassis. He was the dear father-in-law of Thomas Badino, Siham Suhwail, and Khalil Kassis.

He was the beloved grandfather of Joe and Anthony Badino; of Kareem M. Suhwail, Reema Sanchez (nee Suhwail), and Rena Suhwail; and of Muna Dunn (nee Kassis), and Hussam, Nabeel, and Matthew Kassis.

He was the dear great-grandfather of Lucca and Leonardo Badino; of Avelina Badino; of Aicela, Damian, and Milena Sanchez; and of Fadi Haddad.

And he was a dear uncle, cousin, coworker, and friend of many.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution can be made to St. Jude Research Hospital, a favorite charity of Kareem’s.

Services:  Visitation Tuesday July 19, 5-8 pm, at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Road.  Funeral Mass Wednesday July 20, 9:30 am, at St. Raymond Maronite Cathedral 931 Lebanon Dr., St. Louis. Internment follows at Resurrection Cemetery 6901 MacKenzie Rd., St. Louis.
