Ernst was an active member of Vanderbilt Presbyterian Church (Naples, FL) and a longtime volunteer for NCH (Naples, FL).
SERVICES: Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Road on Monday, September 19, 11:00 a.m. until funeral service at 12:00 noon. Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Contributions to the American Diabetes Association appreciated.
Gene and I send our deepest condolences. We both loved Ernie and considered him to be our best friend. Ernie was a kind person and was always helpful to anyone who asked. His patriotism was unsurpassed. He loved the children in the neighborhood and always tried to instill that same sense of patriotism in them. As a friend, no one could have surpassed him in devotion and loyalty. He was of strong resolve and determination and lived his life to serve others. We will miss him sorely as will all who knew him. He touched so many and will never be forgotten.

It was an honor to meet Ernie and his family. I will not only miss him, but I will miss seeing his family sitting with him every day. Ron, Inga, And Chris were as faithful family as I have ever met.
