We will miss you very much Charlie. You were an awesome guy, and I always enjoyed talking to you. God bless you, we will see you again one day.
Charlie “Flipper” was an influence on many chefs in ST. LOUIS, what a treasure he was…sorry to say we didn’t keep in touch…what a great guy all around – RIP my friend

Charlie (“Flipper”) was an experienced chef who always had the “back-of-the-house” covered as if it were his own. He was one of the “originals” that Vince & Joe Cunetto reached out to when they opened their restaurant and throughout the following years helped them establish a “rock solid” reputation. Christine, I am very sorry for your loss. Everybody loved Charlie. Remember the good times, and know that you will be reunited with him one day in heaven.
Christine my condolences to you and your family. I learned so much from Charlie over the years working next to him. He will forever be missed but the memories I have of him will last a lifetime.
Please excuse this extremely late condolence because we did not know. Who are the we? Sonny Griffin, Lionel Solomon, Arthur Kiner, and Jerry Kiner. All of us worked with Flipper at Rich and Charlies Trattoria back in the beginning when the Blues were playing at the Arena, Stan Musial and Biggies were down the street, Channel 2 was behind the “Trat” Imos Pizza opened on the same side of the street next door, and Chucky Pozzo was a teen.
