Loving husband of the late Judith Rost (nee Duffield); beloved father of Lisa Lee, Marni (Eric Boyd) Jarman and the late Edwin Von Rost; our dear grandfather of Wilhelmina, Daniel, Brittany, MacKenzie, Madison, Katie, Adam and the late Tara; great-grandfather of William, Anna, Edwin and the late Elizabeth; Dearest brother of the late Albert, John and George. Our dear brother in law, uncle, cousin and friend.
Edwin served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict from 1951-1955, he was medically discharged and reenlisted in the Air Force during Vietnam from 1955-1966
Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry, on Thursday, 10/20, 10:30 a.m. until Service at 12:30 p.m. Interment J.B. National Cemetery.

A casual celebration of life will be held at The Marine Corp League (7922 Croydon Dr.) on Thursday 10/20 from 7PM until 10PM

Loved as a brother-in-law and loved even more as a true brother. A man who stood out among men and yet could be as gentle as a lamb. I will miss the times we had to share but the memories will last a lifetime. Rest peacefully in the arms of our Lord, my friend until the day of Resurrection.

I am very sorry for your loss. I remember Mr. Rost from my childhood. I remember having dinner, watching movies, slumber parties and sledding at their house. I am sorry for your loss- keep close the memories.

We in the volunteer office at the St. Louis VA are saddened by this news. Ed and Judy volunteered here for 23 years and donated over 20,000 hours of their time each! That’s amazing and they did so many things to support the Veterans who got their care at Jefferson Barracks. Please accept our heartfelt condolences. VAVS Staff.
