My heart goes out to Dan’s family. Given his recent retirement, I’m sure he and you had hoped for much more time together. I worked with Dan from 2011-2017 until I left for an overseas assignment. Dan was so dedicated to his work, quietly working hard in service to his nation – having him as a member of my team was an absolute pleasure. He was a great teammate and wonderful person. He will be missed.
