 Robert Mark Reed, 66, of Webster Groves, Missouri, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2020. Robert was born on February 19, 1954, to Karl and Anne Reed (Cohen) in St. Louis on Cabanne Avenue. After attending University City High School and graduating from Ladue HS in 1972, he went on to study accounting at University of Missouri-St. Louis. He also obtained a master’s degree in Business Administration from Saint Louis University.
He worked as a financial analyst, most notably during a 24-year tenure at Anheuser-Busch. During his career, he also ventured into various entrepreneurial side projects such as buying, fixing up, and selling or renting out houses in St. Louis and Sanibel Island, FL.
On Valentine’s Day in 1981, he met Carlyn (Heider), and they wed in 1984, going on to have three children, Nicholas, Rebecca, and Jessica.

After retiring, Robert spent his time rehabbing houses, walking on nearby trails, cheering for St. Louis sports teams, searching for the best barbeque in town, meeting his brother Chuck (Charles) every week for lunch, and spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family.
Robert was predeceased by his parents, Karl and Anne Reed. He is survived by wife Carlyn, children Nicholas (Gina), Rebecca, and Jessica, grandson Wilder, and brother Charles.
Services: Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel at 10151 Gravois on Wednesday, June 10, from 11 a.m. until family-only service at 1 p.m. Due to current circumstances, please contact Gina at (314) 956-7127 to set up a time to attend the visitation and how many people will be coming as the number of visitors at one time is limited. Interment at St. Paul Churchyard, 7600 Rock Hill Rd, following the service. Memorial contributions can be made to Jewish Family & Children’s Services of St. Louis.
