On the morning of February 11, 2022, Kevin Earl Raquepaw of Saint Louis, beloved husband and father, passed away at the age of 62. His cause of death was congestive heart failure. Kevin was born to Earl and Zada Raquepaw on October 6, 1959, and grew up in Birch Run, Michigan. He received his BA from the University of Michigan in 1981 and his MDiv from McCormick Theological Seminary in 1985. Along the way, he met and married Christine Leonard on September 8, 1984 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Kevin was an extremely hard worker in many fields including ministry, real estate, and home renovation. Kevin and Christine traveled widely together throughout Europe and the Middle East but their most cherished trips were to adopt their daughters Lilah and Adele from China in 1997 and 1999. Their son John arrived from South Korea in 2004. As a husband and father, Kevin was the best of men. His constant devotion, loving presence, and great sense of humor made everything better. His loss will always be deeply felt. Family members include his loving wife of 37 years, Christine; daughter Lilah (Daniel) Nulty of Iowa City, Iowa; daughter Adele Raquepaw and son John Raquepaw of Saint Louis, Missouri; sister Michele (Mike) Ellard of Flint, Michigan; and sister Chantelle (Rick Steele) Raquepaw of Boykins, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents. Kevin’s Christian faith was very strong and in addition to teaching Sunday school, he was a deacon, elder, and vice president of the congregation in churches to which he belonged. He was buried February 15, 2022 after a grave site service with immediate family present at St. Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, and Pastor Mark Smith officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Crestwood, Missouri or Children’s Hope International, Saint Louis, Missouri. A KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY SERVICE

Christine,
I have been out of town and am just hearing about Kevin’s passing. I am so terribly sorry. My heart breaks for you, Lilah, Adele and John.
I worked with Kevin for so many years. He truly became a friend. Every client I introduced him to loved not only his work…but they loved Kevin as a person.
Kevin brought John with him to my house several times and he would play the piano while he was here…so talented!
Kevin would light up when he talked about you and your kids that he adored! I felt like I knew your family through his stories.
He will be so truly missed by so many people…again…I am so sorry for your loss.
