Katie and Robbie, my deepest sympathy . I am so sad for you.. I send love and prayers..you are in my thoughts. I will remember Carol with great admiration.

I am so sorry Katie and Rob. Carol was a good friend and neighbor to us and a great loving Mom to you two. What a dynamic woman! Carol touched many lives during her lifetime with her kindness, love, charity, caring, knowledge, and smile. I know I will miss meeting her in the middle of the street to talk and laugh.
Katy, Rob, and Dani – I am so incredibly sorry that you have to walk this path again so soon after losing your father. I originally posted the following on Facebook after speaking with Katy on Friday:
My friend, Carol, died this afternoon. I want to drive to her house to hug her daughter. But Mr. COVID won’t allow it.
I’ve been lucky and truly blessed to have been on many adventures with Carol. When we grew up, we were going to be the Supervisors at Girl Scout Camp. Those little girls will never know what they missed.
Carol knew all the star constellations! Her daughter, Katy, tells me that there is an app for that now. We were going to take nature walks where Carol would identify the leaves and critters while I made sure we didn’t lose anybody. She would teach the girls how to canoe while I would stand on the shore. (I have balance issues. I understand tipping a canoe is not something the girls would enjoy.) She would teach them how to build a fire, and I would get the water in the fire bucket. We would teach them songs. At least I could carry a tune as well as water. We might even teach them how to bake Bert the turkey…
The moral of this story is, don’t wait to do anything with your friends. Thanks for the adventures, Carol. I’ll see you at Camp Heaven. (I hope.)
I only knew Carol from church but I know she was very devoted to her family. I’m sorry to hear your father passed too. I didn’t know that. Our deepest sympathy.
