40, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022.
Matthew, loving daddy to Brook Niemeyer (7), dearest son of Tom and Sue Niemeyer [Malecek], and brother to Tracey (Rodney) Suess and Meredith (Nathan) Ball.
Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON Chapel, 10151 Gravois Rd. St. Louis, MO 63123, Tuesday, February 22, 2022, 11:15 a.m., to Queen of All Saints Catholic Church (Oakville,) for 12:00 p.m. mass. Interment Sunset Memorial Park, Affton.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Alcoholics Anonymous, or Al-non. Visitation Monday 4-8 PM.

Matthew played baseball with my oldest son. Matthew was a talented player who was as competitive as any player he played with or against. As time passes people move and go their separate ways and we hadn’t seen Matt since his playing days. On occasion we would see Matt’s parents Tom and Sue. Matt was blessed with wonderful parents and our hearts and prayers go out to them and his entire family. We will remember Matt flashing that big smile each time he got a big hit, struck out a batter, or made a big play in the field. We will remember how his Mom and Dad were at every game cheering him on. We will always have fond memories of Matt and now that he is in God’s hands we know he has peace.
I lived next door to Chris Ludwig and met Matt through Chris. He was a wonderful man and loved his family. My sincere condolences to Matt’s family.
