Surrounded by loving family members, Joseph returned to our Lord, Monday April 25, 2022
Joseph was born in St. Louis July 20, 1930, to the late Joseph and Anna (nee Folkl) Mueller. Loving husband of the late Barbara Mueller for 66 years; beloved father of John Mueller, Mary Mueller, Elizabeth (Mick) Rudy, Julie (Greg) Hubert, Laura Landmann and Paul (Lisa) Mueller; loving grandfather of Micahel and Stephanie Rudy, Kyle, Josh and Jill Hubert, Jake, Ally and Casey Landmann, Finley and Harper Mueller; dear great-grandfather of Raelyn and Brayden Rudy; dear brother of JoAnn (the late Louis) Cheli; our dear uncle, cousin, brother-in-law and friend to many.
Services: Visitation at St Mary Magdalen Catholic Church (Bancroft and Kingshighway) Friday April 29, 12:30 PM until funeral mass at 1:30 PM. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital appreciated. A service of KUTIS AFFTON Chapel.
“Great Uncle Joe” – that is what we called him. He was one of the kindest, most good-natured people we have ever known. His sense of humor and his sense of wonder about so many things in life was always delightful. You could talk about anything – any topic under the Son (and Sun) – and he would listen and be fully engaged. We have fond and treasured memories of times with “Great Uncle Joe”. If , in greeting him, I forgot the “Great” before “Uncle Joe”, he would remind me – with his characteristic laugh and hand gesture. What a truly wonderful human being. “Great” indeed!
May God comfort his loving family. Please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
He is now with Aunt Barbara. May they Rest In Peace – together again in His arms.
