V. Jack Muehlenkamp joined his beloved late wife of 51 years, Barbara Muehlenkamp (nee Nagel), on the morning of June 11, 2020. Jack was fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church and passed peacefully at the age of 90. Beloved father to Denise (Michael) Bahlinger and Michele Conklin, proud grandpa to Madie, Jack (Clare) and Sam Bahlinger and treasured friend to Joyce Cain. Dear son of the late Henry and Julia Muehlenkamp. Dear brother of the late Joan Wieschhaus and Donald Muehlenkamp loving brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many. Jack was a sweet, gentle, generous, caring, wise, nonjudgmental, kind soul to all who knew him. He always made you feel like the most important person in the room.
Jack was born in 1929. He attended McBride High School, St. Louis University School of Commerce and Finance and then graduated from SLU Law. He was admitted into the Missouri Bar Association in 1957 and started his first law practice in Dellwood, Missouri. In 1974 he added a partner to the practice, Muehlenkamp and Pankowski. Jack was a highly respected lawyer with an honest reputation. He proudly served his country as a corporal in the Korean War. He served as a municipal judge in the city of Florissant in 1964 and also served as the City of Florissant’s Attorney and Prosecuting Attorney for 27 years. Jack and Barb were loyal supporters of Our Little Haven since its inception. He was an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Charles Borromeo Parish, and supported Birthright. These were all organizations close to his heart. Jack loved to fish, hunt, travel, play golf and spend time with his family. His golf trips with their fun golf group were always a highlight for Jack and Barb. One of the most important aspects of his life was his Catholic faith. He started each day giving thanks to God.
For the past four years, Jack lived at Lake St. Charles independent living and then moved to the Care Center at Laclede Groves. We extend our deepest thanks to the health care workers of Laclede Groves who cared for Jack and his family. Your passion and loving touch created a content environment for him these last years.
Services: Visitation at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (7622 Sutherland Ave. 63119), Friday June 19, 10:00 AM until funeral mass at 11:00 AM.. Masks are required. Jack was such a wonderful and interesting friend whom I will miss greatly. We shared some fun and memorable times together.
My sympathy to you all. I remember Jack and Barb as parishioners of St. Thomas the Apostle and remember very well the beautiful wedding at the Old Cathedral on September 3, 1988. May the Lord grant you consolation and peace.

Denise and Michele, almost 40 years ago Muehlenkamp and Pankowski was my first full-time job. (I still can’t get 524-2424 out of my head.) I so fondly remember your dad and my time at the firm. My sympathies to you both.
My sympathy to Jack’s family. I remember Jack from the time we spent together when I was a police officer at Florissant. He was always fair and honest.
Jack was a special human being. His quiet demeanor hid a larger than life person who deeply cared for all who came in contact with him. His faith and love of family were always at the forefront of all he did. Jack always felt that his generosity to others was always paid back to him in multiple ways by his God. He was right. His lovely family and close friends are a testament to the great and loving things he did in his life. He was like a father to me and I will sorely miss him.

I worked with Jack for many years as a city of florissant department head. He was fun and showed kindness whether you were an employee or a resident with a problem . Saw him at st Joseph hospital whe I was a patient or visiting. He enjoyed hosting parties at his houses and boat. Ron veach

Jack was a wonderful and thoughtful man, after Barb died we took him in as a second dad. He travel with us to visit our daughter and her family, had many great dinners with him. He was a great friend and neighbor, I wish I could have kept up with him until the end. Terry has gotten worse in the last few years, which kept me being there for him. Was so glad that Joyce Cain took our place, he was in great hand with her and his family. Your family is in our prayers, May God Bless you all. With our love.
