Shirley A. Minnick, 1930-2022

Entered into rest on December 21, 2022.  Shirley was always full of life with a kind spirit and helping hand for all her children and other children from all walks of life; through her volunteer work at Make-A-Wish Foundation, Children’s Hospital (60-year celebration of Mickey Mouse), Camp Sunrise Family Camp for American Cancer Society, 1988 volunteer of the year Nominee, 1988 United Way of Greater St. Louis Mary Alice Messerly Volunteer of the Year Nominee, and St. Mary’s Hospice Care.  When not involved with caregiving, Shirley was always present to provide support and love to her five children in their many activities, and finally a beautiful composer of poetry with many awards from various organizations.

Devoted wife of the late Sidney A. Minnick Sr., dear mother of Sidney Jr. (Gayle), Alan (Gloria), Sherryl Luber (Greg), the late Diane Minnick, and Gary (Ann), Dear Grandmother of Amy Antalick, Jared, Michael Zander, Shannon Krassinger , Angela King, Jason Luber, Kimberly, Sam, Adam Luber, Tony, Kelly, Claire Minnick-Chappell, and Will,  and Great Grandma of 12; dear daughter of the late Hilrey O. “Jack” Hamilton, and Fern L. Losey (Birtch) Hamilton; dear sister of Robert E. Hamilton, Florence L. Morin, Beverly J. North, and Patricia L. Watson.
