Rest in peace my dear friend and combat buddy. You were a great hootchmate and one hell of a gunship pilot. Many of our missions together in Vietnam will not be forgotten because of our Centaur Legacy website that you had such a significant hand in developing. I know of your hundreds of hours, and dollars, building the second wave of our website, and your constant contributions and guidance to me personally as your replacement Webmaster. I will never forget your million dollar smile and the bond that we developed in war.

Uncle Charles wasn’t just a great uncle, he was the best. So many treasured family memories as his “practice grand daughter”…taking me & Aymee to Nutcracker ballet, swimming & holiday get togethers when I was little, playing Carmen San Diego on big floppy disks, my first job shredding paper to actually learning Microsoft Access, appreciation of classical music, learning to scan mirrors while driving, newspaper clippings of relevant/interesting articles, St. Louis Mardi Gras parade, scaring him during 4th of July carnival rides (first time hearing him curse) at Aunt Janet’s, sharing craft beers as adults, lunches at Sweet Tomatoes, love of Florida citrus, especially honeybells, hearing how proud he was of his grandsons & updates about them over the years, & visits with him & Aunt Joyce when Vinnie & I came home.
Loved reminiscing during his collected photo slideshow, seeing some for the first time: growing up with grandma Ruby & siblings, tours in Vietnam, family & work life, & adventures along the way. <3
It was an honor to attend his visitation & military service.
