On Sunday April 19, 2020. Loving wife of Reverend John Hessel. Loving mother of DaNae (Kent) Juhlin, Becky (Alex) Krupski and the late Kathy Brutton. Dear grandmother of Chris, Kasie, Drew, Kyle, Maddie, A.J., Sarah and Colin. Dear sister of Edward (Maryann) Dunn.
Brenda was the Pastors wife of 1st Baptist Church of Oakville. She was a Faithful wife, loving mother and Pastors wife for over 53 years.
Services; Private family services were held. In lieu of flowers donations to 1st Baptist church of Oakville appreciated. Interment Shepherd Hills Cemetery. A Kutis South County service.
John (Buddy) Hessel, DaNae and Beecky, I was so sorry to hear that Brenda has passed away. My sister, Jean, said she heard about her passing from someone that saw it on FB. I am glad she was my friend on FB so I could find out when you all lost her. I pray that all of you and your families will be able to handle your loss. With all that is going on in the world right now it is very rough to handle a loss when family and friends cannot be with you to show their love for Brenda. I send my sympathy to all of you. Love you all.

sincere thoughts and wonderful memories of sweet Brenda. She was one of the kindest people I had ever known. It was always wonderful seeing she and John at our class of ’65 functions and reunions. We went to East together and then on to Alton High.
I know many will miss Brenda, but I’m so grateful that I could call she and John friends. Rest in peace dear friend! You made life look so easy.

Brenda Hessel was my pastor’s wife decades ago, but she left such an impression on me that she still holds a very special place in my heart. She is one of the sweetest and most kind people I have ever met.
