Mr. Hertel was a service mechanic in the auto repair industry. He loved to fish, loved people and loved to be social out in the community. In keeping with Mr. Hertel’s wishes, all arrangements will be private. Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice.

I’ll never forget you! I will always hold in my heart and cherish all the stories, advice and jokes you’ve shared with me. The many songs you sang and played for me will always be the track I leave on repeat in my mind. God places people in our lives for certain reasons at different times, you often reffered to me as an angel sent to you by your buddy Jesus, I seen it the way other way. I’ll never question his miraculous ways! You taught me so much and I will do everything I can to apply that in my life!! I’m going to miss our daily routines we had. I’m going to miss your witt, compassion, charm, knowledge, strength and the love you poured out. You were a gentle soul filled with so much love to give. The day you declared me as granddaughter in your heart, will be a memory I’ll always hold onto! Best darn Grand pops I’ve ever known!! I love you so much and will greatly miss you!!!!!!!!!

It has meant the world to me to have been the one that was here for you when you needed someone the most. I feel honored and grateful to have been able to spend all this time with you before you went home to God. I will miss you and your stories more then you will ever know,, even your stubborn side. We have had a fantastic , loving and fun life together. They will live forever in my heart. You will be missed by everyone; Mom, Dad, Linda, John, Donna, Me, Sam and Nancy.
You are and always will be the light in my heart. Thank you for being my Grandpa and for giving me a new sister, Theresa. We will miss you forever. Always in my heart, Debbie
