Gerau (nee Padberg); loving father of Mary Ellen (Dennis) Costello, Betty (Bill) Hardin, Ann (Mark) Buechter, Susan (Jim) Penrose, Margaret (Tim) Haber, Wally (Lanette) Gerau, David (Jennifer) Gerau, Bob (Sharon) Gerau and the late Dan (Kelly) Gerau; dear grandfather of Aaron (Catie) Costello, Jennifer and Jacob Costello, Katherine (David) Costello, Patrick (Becky ) Hardin, Christopher Hardin, Amber (Grayson) Tarbox, Chelsea (Ben) Auton, Nathan Buechter, Daniel and Gabriel Penrose, Grace Haber, Luke and Kristen Gerau, Taylor and Zachary Gerau, Bryan and Darby Gerau, Kevin Gerau, Sadie and Cassie Gerau and the late Tim Haber and the late Anna Haber, dear great-grandfather of Abby, Evan, Nora and Levi Costello, Henry Hardin, Faustina Auton and Kynareth Buechter, our dear brother-in-law,  uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Mr. Gerau served honorably in the Coast Guard during WW II on the U.S.S. LST 782.
Services: Funeral services at Kutis Affton Chapel, will be private. Private interment at Sunset Cemetery, Memorial service at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church will be held at a later date. Contributions to the charity of your choice appreciated.
