Jason Cain Ervin April 13, 1978 – July 16, 2022
Jason Ervin (44) of Arnold Missouri went home to be with Jesus on Saturday July 16th, 2022. Jason served as the Next Gen. Pastor at First Baptist Arnold, the church he grew up in and came to know Christ in. Jason spent more than 20 years serving the people he loved through the church he loved.
There is a cliché’ that says, “To know him is to love him”, and that is true with Jason; but there is a second part of that that is also true about Jason: “To know him is to know that you are loved by him.” Jason loved people deeply and he loved people well. When people spent even just a little bit of time with Jason, they walked away knowing that they were loved. His life demonstrated the unconditional love that God has for each one of us. God doesn’t love us if or because, but God loves us anyway and inspite of, and that is the message that the life of Jason showed people.
Jason loved to laugh, had an incredible sense of humor, and took great joy in making other people laugh. He loved the water and being outside; and was the best at planning, organizing, leading, and executing events. However, the highlight of Jason’s life was no doubt his wife and four children. He led his family as well has he did everything else in his life.
A faithful husband, an incredible father, a loving brother, uncle, son, and so much more to so many people. Jason was able to spend the last day of his life doing the thing that he loved the most with the people he loved the most. He spent the day on Kentucky Lake with his wife Kelly and four amazing children.
Jason is survived by his wife of 22 years, Kelly Ervin, and four children, Reagan, Cole, Dakota, and Chase of Arnold, MO. His mother and father, Pam and Rodger Ervin of Arnold, MO. His two brothers, Kurt (Robin), of Orange, TX and, Greg (Kim), of Festus, MO and sister-in-law, Amber Tucker (David), Arnold, MO, brother-in-law, Michael Sean McLaird, of St. Louis, MO. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and hundreds of people that called him friend.
Jason was loved and is still loved, and he will be missed beyond measure. We may not understand it on this side of heaven, but the words that The Apostle Paul wrote are true about Jason Ervin as well.
“For me to live is Christ and to die is gain.” -Philippians 1:21
Services: Visitation all at First Baptist Church of Arnold on Wednesday, July 20, from 3-8 p.m., then Thursday, July 20, from 9 a.m. until time of service 10 a.m.. Interment Shepherd Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to http://www.fbcarnold.org/jasonervin
I’ve known Jason since he was a kid. Loved him.
He has been special to me for years. He was instrumental in outreach to my son who had left FBCA. To see Jason was to know Jesus as a reality. My condolences to Kelly the kids, the family and FBC Arnold.
Jason would be on the top of my list as one of the greatest people I’ve met. Always positive, hard working, always willing to help, always making me laugh. Our boys played baseball together and I looked forward to our games just to hang with him. This one hurts and I’m really gonna miss him. My heart goes out to his parents, Kelly and the kids.
Gene Spurgeon watched Jason grow up in First Baptist church of Arnold Missouri he was a great man of God.
Jason was a very special Godly man. He blessed anyone he came in contact with. We are thankful to know he is with the Lord. He will be deeply missed.

Jason, had a passion for teaching, and spreading the word of God to others. May his family find strength in knowing Jason is in heaven rejoicing and is at peace. ️
Jason will be greatly missed. The impact that he made for Christ was priceless.. I can’t imagine how many lives that hes touched the way hes touched our family’s. May you feel the Lord’s comfort and peace knowing that hes with Jesus. Continued prayers.

My deepest condolences to the Ervin family and the entire FBCA family. Jason was a wonderful man and had a big impact on so many, including my family. He was such an encouraging, funny, sincere, and wonderful godly man and will be truly missed. Our world needs more men like him! So many lives were enriched by his presence. I am grateful and thankful for the opportunity and blessing of knowing him. Praise God from whom all blessings flow! May His grace, mercy, and love bring comfort and His peace that truly does surpass all understanding to all.
I’ll never forget the first time I heard Pastor Jason preach. I was immediately drawn in by the way he presented the gospel. He gave us Jesus in a passionate yet compassionate, humble, sincere, compelling way. As I sat and listened, I found myself imagining that being the way the disciples themselves would have presented Jesus to people long ago, after He had commissioned them, and had left to go home to be with the Father. Pastor Jason’s preaching and presence will be sorely missed here. My prayers and condolences go out to his lovely family, his fellow church staff members, and to every life he touched.
Jason was an amazing man of God!
