Baptized into the hope of Christ’s Resurrection, died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family on August 17, 2021. Dearly loved husband of Andrea (nee Witowski); beloved dad of Amber Dawn and fiance Brendan Smith and Joseph J. V; most precious son of Kathleen and the late Joseph J. III; and most loved son of Dad # 2 Gene Axley. Joe was the beloved big brother to Paul and wife Tonya; dearest uncle to Jessica and husband Tony Cognasso and Joshua; son-in-law to Joseph and Kathleen Witowski; brother-in-law and uncle to Stephanie Koirtyohann and family, Monty Witowski and Jennifer Landers and family. May he always know how much he is loved and in our hearts forever.
Services: Visitation Friday, August 20, 4 p.m. until service time 8:00 p.m. at KUTIS AFFTON Chapel, 10151 Gravois. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society. Interment Resurrection Cemetery at a later date.
