She was an active member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Creve Coeur most of her adult life and involved in the lives of her family. She was beloved for her laughter and generous spirit. She was a self-taught artist of remarkable talent, becoming a master tole painter. She taught classes and enjoyed making many decorative pieces for friends and family. If anyone asked her to paint a particular person, animal, building or recreate a photograph she would take it on. She just wanted to make people happy with her artwork. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association in her memory would be appreciated.

She was always a warm, caring and open person who welcomed all who met her. It’s a shame her final years were in a cloud, as I always enjoyed the times with her.
I work in activities at the nursing home Neoma resided at. She was one of my best residents and I loved her very much. She was a sweetheart and I will miss her dearly. She LOVED drawing and reading. Absolutely loved it. She was always up for arts and crafts. She also loved to sing and dance. Music meant so much to her. She was always so full of life. She enjoyed many activities including but not limited to going outside, reading, arts and crafts, BINGO, entertainment, and the church service. She loved her orange sherbet. She is now at peace with Budd. My deepest condolences to Robyn, Gary, and the rest of the family. May Neoma’s memory be a blessing. May she Rest In Peace. Good bye Neoma. I’ll miss you. I love you. Until we meet again.
Aunt Neoma, Thank you for your laughter and generous heart. Thank you for being the first person to feed me pizza! Thank you for telling me (Lorilee) what the animals, birds and people might be saying, thinking or doing as you brought them to life in your paintings. I have many happy memories of you painting as Robyn and I played on that heated floor in your family room. You often downplayed your talent and you once told me a WU faculty member declared you weren’t an artist. I knew that person was so wrong – you would now be considered an accomplished traditional (folk) artist (which all of us always knew), and I’m certain you realize that from heaven. I like to think you’re helping to paint the many beautiful skies like the ones we saw in our time living in Arkansas. The angels got a lively new member of the choir this week, just in time for Christmas carols. We know you’re at home with Jesus, but we surely miss you and the joy that you brought to every room. Sending our love and prayers rom Louisville to Robyn & Ron, Gary & Nancy and their families, Lorilee & Michael
I work as an activities assistant at the nursing home where Neoma resided at. She was an amazing resident and I will miss her very much. Every time I worked with Neoma she always had a smile on her face and a song to sing. I loved working with her during crafts and projects, because she would put so much detail into everything she created. I was very fortunate to see some of the art work that she had made and i thought it was beautiful. My thoughts and prayers are with Neoma’s family and loved ones. Rest in peace Neoma you will be greatly missed.
Neoma was one of my most precious friends. She made me laugh all the time. I think she could make a joke out of a dead stick on the ground!
I love the paintings she made for me.
