Joining the Lord on October 25th, 2020 at 54 years of age. Happily married for 20 years to Michelle King; loving son of Catherine and the bereaved Robert King; older brother to Sean (Denise) King; father to Frank (Marcella) Povis & Katie (Justin) Cruickshank; uncle to Iain, Bella & Josie; grandfather to Valerie & Emmitt. Chris leaves behind an abundance of other loving family and friends to include his godmother, Janet (Kevin) Harder, his mentor Pastor Tim, and his brothers and sisters in Christ at West Springs Church.
Chris was a long-time member at Fox Run Golf Club and West Springs Church. He started his career at Matson Driscoll & Damico in January of 1990, and became a partner with the firm in 2010 and leaves behind a work family of many. He had a passion for golf, health, fitness, knowledge, the Gospel, Missouri Football and his family.
He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

Ceremony at West Springs Church, Friday Oct. 30th 11am.

My deepest condolences Michelle. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Chris thru the years, he always had great insight and brought a tremendous attitude and work ethic to MDD. He wasn’t always a loud voice in the room ,but when he talked everyone listened. Chris was a great man, honest, respectful and moral, we will miss him greatly and will always remember him and the great example he set for all of us to follow.

I will miss my long-time partner Chris. He was his own individual but also a dedicated team player to MDD, where he spent virtually his entire professional life. He had a quiet, kind, and caring personality that was most welcome by all. I also want to express my condolences to Michelle and the extended family in light of Chris’ departure from the living world, while knowing that his spirit will continue to be present in the lives of his family, friends, and business partners.
Dear Michelle and family – I and all the other MDD partners in Asia were deeply saddened to learn of your loss. Although on the opposite side of the world most of the time, a few of us had the pleasure of working closely with him and getting to know him better when he came out for Cat work in Australia in 2011. He was a very insightful man and always positive in his outlook. He will be missed.

Becky and I were deeply saddened when we received the call from Peter about the passing of our friend and partner Chris. He was an exceptional professional and always found time to mentor other MDD partners and staff to help with in their careers. He successfully diversified his accounting practice areas by accomplishing additional professional certifications and was generally regarded as a go-to partner on Business Valuation matters. I fondly remember how Chris transformed himself professionally by taking classes to improve his confidence in presentation and marketing skills. He will be greatly missed by MDD and their clients.

I admired Chris’ passion for the firm, his leadership and willingness to tackle new challenges and practice areas. He was always willing to help anyone out and mentor others. I hope his family can find comfort in knowing how many people admired him.
I was shocked to hear about Chris’ passing. My sincerest condolences to his wife Michelle, children and family.
