Funeral from Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Rd. 63123 on Tuesday, October 25 at 9:30 am. to Seven Holy Founders Catholic Church for 10:00 am Mass. Interment at J.B. National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions to Humane Society of Missouri appreciated. Visitation Monday 4-8 pm.

Joe & Nita were the first couple we met at our 1st Airstream Rally 15 years ago. We enjoyed their company & looked forward to time with them. Joe was always available for questions or just a conversation. You will be missed, Joe. Our deepest condolences to the family. Joe was a gem.

Joe was one of the nicest people I’ve ever known. He embodied the spirit of his faith, with cheerful giving of his time and talents and never said a cross word to anyone or about anyone. His accomplishments In the Airstream Club leave a legacy not many can equal. Always there to help and offer advice if asked. I was blessed to know him for the last 35 years and was proud to say he was my friend. The world is a better place for him being in it. Condolences to his family, who will surely miss him daily. Rest in peace, Joe! I’ll be smiling knowing that you and Nita are together again.
Our condolences to Joe’s family. I remember Joe and his wife Wanita as experienced veterans in the local Airstream club, and welcoming us as new owners. He represented ‘that greatest generation’, and was a source of good counsel on technical matters – always given with a smile and a twinkle in his eyes!
I’m so very sorry as I heard today of Joe’s passing. I was blessed to get to know him as my cousin Joan is married to Chris. The world is less impressive at the passing of Joe but heaven has a new angel now in the arms of our Lord Jesus. May God bless, and now comfort, all of Joe’s family.
We grew up with ur dad and his family and had so many wonderful memories. Funny how life changes and evolves .my heart is with all of you. We will be at the funeral mass. Love to all
Joe is a St. Mary’s High School Alumnus, Class of 1948. On behalf of St. Mary’s faculty, staff, and students, both past and present, we extend our most heartfelt sympathy to Chuck’s family and friends.
Also, know that we share in your sorrow and grieve for your loss. Special mention and offerings of condolences to Joe’s classmates and to those students, who at one time or another, were either upper classmates or under classmates of his, and who may have known him personally or “of him” as someone they passed in the hallways, shared a table with at lunchtime or maybe even participated in some of the same extra-curricular activities a Joe did from the time he enrolled as a Freshman in September of 1944 until the time he graduated as a Senior in June of 1948.
Although Joe is gone from this life, his spirit has been and always will be here on the Campus of St. Mary’s. And just as it was in life ever since the day he enrolled and became a “Son of Mary”, daily prayers will continue to be said and daily masses will continue to be offered for him by the Brothers of Mary.

Uncle Joe lived a full and honorable life surrounded by friends and family. He brought life and joy to everyone he met. He will always be remembered by our family.
Uncle Joe always smiled and always cared.
In my Uncle Joe I had everything I could ask for in an uncle. He was always there: Same house all my life; Family occasions; Just a call or e-mail away. He and my Aunt Nete were always welcoming.
I’ll miss you Uncle Joe.
Uncle Joe was always willing to help family and those in need. He was up for a joyous time, no matter the occasion.
So sorry to hear this. As one of the “older” members, we attended many functions with Joe and Juanita.
Joe was a great friend to us. Always willing to help us in any way he could, which was many times. We really enjoyed our times with Joe and Nita at lots of Airstream rallies. A lot of joker games were played, making no difference in who won. Don talked to Joe while he was in hospital and was surprised and hard to imagine that he is really gone on to a better place. Sincere sympathy to his entire family. Don and Shirley Sutton
