Beloved husband of the late Wanita Rose Bublis (nee Tellman) for over 62 years; loving father of Charles “Chuck” (Vicki) Bublis, Cheri (fiance Don Wilson) Scheuermann and Christopher (Joan) Bublis; adoring grandfather of Nicholas (Julie) Bublis, Christopher (Katie) Bublis II, Whitney Scheuermann, Kayla (Zak) King, Julie (Glenn) Meyrose, Andrew Bublis and bonus grandchildren Kara, Denny, Kelli, Brian and Tommy; cherished great-grandfather of 12; dear brother of Maryellen Bell. Our dearest brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Joe’s life was dedicated to the welfare of his wife, children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren. His second love was traveling the country with his wife Wanita in their Airstream. Joe was active in the WBCCI (Airstream Club), The Elks Lodge and SHF Catholic Church.
Joe began his service to our country participating in ROTC at St. Louis University. After graduation in 1952 he continued in the Air Force as 2nd Lieutenant out of Fort Knox, KY performing audits at Air bases across the country. His service eventually brought him to Scott Air Base in Illinois where he left active service as 1st Lieutenant in 1954. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.

 

Funeral from Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Rd. 63123 on Tuesday, October 25 at 9:30 am. to Seven Holy Founders Catholic Church for 10:00 am Mass. Interment at J.B. National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions to Humane Society of Missouri appreciated. Visitation Monday 4-8 pm.
