On Tuesday, April 27, 2021, Anne Kasal, loving and devoted mother of Dawn Finley, Jason Kasal, and Jeff (Elizabeth) Kasal and grandmother extraordinare to Noah and Zoe Finley, and James and McPherson Kasal passed away unexpectedly at the age of 66.
Anne was born on May 8, 1954 in St. Louis to Gerard and Maragret (Becker) Weisbrod. Anne was best known for her 19 years as concessionaire at Steinberg Skating Rink, a rink where she fondly remembered skating as a child. She loved knowing countless families would create their own memories and traditions at Steinberg. Before becoming the face of Steinberg Skating Rink, Anne had a storied career as a hairdresser and barber with a shop downtown.
Anne loved to travel, alone and with her family. Together they traveled the US and beyond and the memories will be forever cherished.
Anne is preceded in death by her parents Gerard and Margaret Weisbrod and her son-in-law Bill (Dawn) Finley.
Anne is survived by her children Dawn Finley, Jason Kasal, Jeff (Elizabeth) Kasal, her grandchildren Noah (15), Zoe (13), James (4), McPherson (2), her sister Mary (Dan) Cordes, brother Paul Weisbrod, as well as many cousins and nieces.

Sorry to hear of the passing of my cousin Anne, she was a special and fun lady, RIP.

A previous comment said it all! Anne was a ‘force of nature’. She always had a never-quit, can-do attitude. She was a beautiful woman dedicated to her family; especially her children and grandchildren. She will be missed. Love and Prayers to all of her family.
The Forest Park Advisory Board on which Anne served for many years, will miss her dedication to the park and her willingness to work diligently to improve it and to make the visitor experience the best it could be.
My sympathy to Anne’s family during this very difficult time. Anne was a great colleague and her passion for Steinberg Skating Rink will always be remembered. She was a strong supporter of Forest Park & she will certainly be missed by countless friends.

Having served with Anne these past few years on the Forest Park Advisory Board, I was always impressed with her observations, knowledge and commitment. Many hours of family fun, memories and joy were created at Steinberg due to her tireless efforts and thoughtful care.

It’s been a few days and I’m still at a loss for words. Anne was a really kind and generous person, perhaps even to a fault. She had a personality that was larger than life. I can truly say I’ll never have another friend, or boss like her.
She was definitely proud of each one of you and you are a definite reflection of everything that was good in her.

The Annie family. I’m so sad to here of the loss of Annie!!! Annie was always a friend to many. I will always remember her coming to the haven to say hi and Oder something to take with her. And to hang with the haven gang.

My condolences go out to the family and friends of Ms. Anne. I have worked for Anne for about 5yrs and loved every bit for it. Anne and her family had open arms for me and my wife. Anne will truly be missed. Gone but never forgotten Anne love to see new dances I came up with and I’ll always love her for that. Sending prayer to her grandkids and her kids.
