Dear mother of Steven (Becky) Duessel, Rich (Cassie) Duessel, Dennis (Annette) Duessel, and the late David (survived by Trish) Duessel. Dear Grandmother of Anna (Jim) Brusselback, Sharon Duessel, Amanda (Jason) Hall, Stephanie Duessel, Nikki White, Leandra Capkovic. Dear Great-Grandmother of Hunter and Ricky. Our dear step-mother, aunt and friend.
Services: Visitation will be held at Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. on Tuesday, June 23, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Cancer Society appreciated.

You were such a large part of my life, for most of my life, and your sudden passing is going to leave a large hole that can never be filled. I miss you more than words can describe. I loved you and I hope you knew it.
Grandma, we never felt less than family in your home and I love you so dearly. I’ll miss you even more so.
Grandma I miss you so much. You were always so supportive is everything I did. You loved unconditionally. You were so excited when I was born. I was your first grandbaby. When you got married I was a bridesmaid. We had a special bond. You are forever in my heart. I will continue my life so you can be proud of me. I love you so much.
So sorry to hear the news last Wednesday of the passing of my step mother. I will miss her putting up with my dad and taking care of him with joy and love as well as her beautiful smile and welcoming us into their home. I will hold her in my heart and prayers to the Duessel family for their loss.
Marian was an inspiration to me when I developed type 1 diabetes and shortly became a certified diabetes educator. She was a leading person in diabetes, courageous in life and in terrific health professional. She had guts and smarts and very effective in her roles at work and in Sr. Louis Assoc of Diabetes Educators. I AM GLAD TO SEE HER TIME AFTER Leaving St. Louis was lovely with her new husband. I am a retired diabetes educator who knew her yes ago.

please know how much she loved you all & was so proud of her family! Marian was a great mentor & inspiration to me as I knew her through her work in diabetes Education and with Colleagues via the St Louis Association of Diabetes Educators; she touched many lives.
