Zimmer, Michael L. “Mike”, 74, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 following a long battle with Alzheimer’s. He leaves his wife of 37 yrs. Nora (Reynolds) Zimmer; daughters, Allison (Davin) Agnew, Amanda (Charles) Long; son, Mark D. (Katy) Zimmer; stepson, Mark D. (Ammie) McSwain; sisters, Susan Muse and Sara (Hank) Krull; brother-in-law Michael (Betty) Reynolds; grandchildren, Bret and Tegan McSwain, Tyler Weis, Riley and Bentley Agnew, Julia Wunning-Zimmer, Samantha (Matt Hall), Emily and Ashley Long, Gabi and Eli Moen, Nephew and Niece Jeffrey (Angie) Muse, Scott and Susan Reynolds. Preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Patricia L. (Smith) Zimmer and Finnley McSwain. He attended McBride High School, and St. Louis University, graduating in 1966 with a BS in Math. He joined the Army serving in Vietnam in 1968-1969 as a First Lieutenant. He worked for Carter Automotive as Cost Accounting Manager until 1986, and Controller and International Sales Manager for Engel Industries until 2008. He loved his family, history, to watch St. Louis Cardinals baseball and NASCAR racing. He was a member of Fernando de Leyba chapter Sons of the American Revolution. Memorial to MO Veterans Home.

Services: Visitation at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. Mon. Feb. 11, 4-8 p.m., then taken to Christ Memorial Lutheran Church Tues. Feb. 12, for visitation 10:30 a.m. until funeral at 11:30 a.m. Interment J.B. National Cemetery.
