(nee McMahon) Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church February 11, 2016.

Dearest daughter of the late James & Margaret McMahon. Loving wife of the late Arthur Zertan and the late Robert Chew. Loving sister of  Margaret (Jack) Engelman, and the late Mary Rudy, Joseph McMahon, Donald McMahon, Patricia Donohue, and Kathleen Kelly. Loving sister-in-law of Lorraine McMahon: aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Eileen was born in Dogtown on October 14, 1926. She had a level of energy few could match, with a positive outlook for every situation and an infectious love of having fun. She channeled her energy into her many decades of service to the United States Postal Service, eventually  retiring to Ft. Myers, FL in 1973. She became an active golfer and spent most days playing her course at Whiskey Creek with her husband, Art. She never forgot her St. Louis roots, traveling back during the summer months to spend time with her brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews. Eileen’s Catholic faith was extremely important to her and she loved attending mass at her home parish of St. James the Greater. She will be greatly missed.
