Mom was born and raised in Green Bay, WI where she met and married Milton Geis. They moved to St. Louis in 1959 when CBS offered Milt a job as Art Director. Mom was a devoted, loving wife for over 50 years. Mom was also a beloved mother to Joe (Cindy) Geis and Kalen (Bob) Leimberg, a loving grandmother to Krista (Tom) Bilsten, Jeremy (Stephanie) Brown, Tyler (Anne) Florich-Brown, Ryan and Isabelle Leimberg, and great-grandmother to Brooke and Hannah Bilsten, and Aurelia Florich-Brown.
Some of Mom’s hobbies and interests were art, music, musical theater, drama, sewing, swimming, reading, movies, vacations to New York, Door County, WI, and Arizona, and of course dancing. She was a dance instructor for the Fred Astaire Studio chain and had done many ballroom dance performances. We lovingly nicknamed her the “Dancing Queen.”
Donna and Milt moved to Meramec Bluffs in 2004. They were happy in their new home making new memories and friends. The following year Milt passed away. Several years later Mom met Gerry Zang and they were married in 2008. They enjoyed traveling together in their healthier days. Her positive words of encouragement, her grace and class, her sense of humor, and her love for family will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
