Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church passed peacefully on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at the age 86.
Loving husband of Pat (nee Scott) for 57 years; Dearest father of Beth (Steve) Meyer and Scott (Michelle) Zak; Loving grandfather of Kyle, Kody and Kasey; Best buddy of Bugsby.
Bill retired from TSI Graphics after 44 years.
Funeral Monday, December 19, 9:30 a.m. from KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois Rd. to St. Martin of Tours, 610 W. Ripa for a 10:00 a.m. MASS. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Visitation Sunday 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Bill is a St. Mary’s Alumnus – Class of 1954. On behalf of St. Mary’s faculty, staff, and students, both past and present, we extend our most heartfelt sympathy to his family and friends.
Also, know that we share in your sorrow and grieve for your loss. Special mention and offerings of condolences to Bill’s classmates and to those students, who at one time or another, were either upper classmates or under classmates of his, and who may have known him personally or “of him” as someone they passed in the hallways, shared a table with at lunchtime or maybe even participated in some of the same extra-curricular activities as Bill did from the time he enrolled as a Freshman in September of 1950 until the time he graduated as a Senior in June of 1954.
Although Bill is gone from this life, his spirit has been and always will be here on the Campus of St. Mary’s High School – the very same place it was when Bill attended school, and where on his very first day of class was bestowed the eternal honor of becoming a “Son of Mary”. And just as it has been since then, daily prayers will continue to be said and daily masses will continue to be offered for him by the Brothers of Mary.
