Les was a faithful and longtime member of Hope Lutheran Church, St. Louis. He served in WWII in the US Coast Guard, loved all sports, worked for a few years as a minor league baseball umpire and retired as a production scheduler from Rawlings Sporting Goods.
Services: No visitation. A memorial service will be held at Hope Lutheran Church (5218 Neosho St., St. Louis, MO 63109) at a later date. Memorials to Hope Lutheran Church appreciated. KUTIS AFFTON SERVICE.
Les was my connection to the Pahde family for the last several years. I was a little worried when I hadn’t heard from him for a while. Sometimes he would call and say “everything is ok” I just wanted to check in with you. The last time I saw him was when they came to see my Mother (Dorothy Pahde Struve). We had a great visit! I will truly miss him.

Dear Carol and Diane, The last time Joe and I saw Les and Doris was at a Pahde family reunion at my mother, Dorothy Pahde Struve ‘s home in Fort Dodge, Iowa. We had traveled from El Paso there with our daughter Jessica. What a wonderful time we had with everyone! It was always great to talk with Les on the phone . We are so sorry for your loss.
