August 19, 1944 – January 20, 2022, daughter of the late Joseph E. and Anna May Schmitt. Sister to the late Roger J. Schmitt. Beloved wife of Robert J. Wangelin, mother of Timothy J. Wangelin and Gary R. Wangelin. Beloved Aunt, Great Aunt, cousin, and friend to many. She was a beautiful, comforting, wise woman with many talents and deep love for her family and friends.
Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel on Saturday, January 29th at 9:00 AM. Funeral service at 10:30 AM. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. No gathering is planned after the service. A celebration of her life will be scheduled later in the spring.
Joanne was a beautiful person. Her smile, laugh and a her sense of humor was contagious. She will be forever missed.
