She was an incomparable woman and will be remembered always
Rita has left wonderful memories that will carry us all through this difficult time. She will be deeply missed. Hugs and prayers to you all.
What a remarkable woman, daughter, sister, cousin, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She embodied that indomitable Irish temperament with that calm and steady view of life. She will be missed by all of us but especially her husband, Bob, and her supportive and loving children. She joins a loving family in heaven. I would love to see and hear that reunion with her mother, sisters, and cousin. Rita will watch over all of us like she did here on Earth. May your memories give you comfort. Hugs to all of you.
There will never be another Rita. She has left such an impact on my memory. My love and strength go out to all the “Wambies” Love you all!

I enjoy geaneology. There’s something about looking into your past that helps tell the story of today. Researching the women of my past and what they struggled through tells of my own strength and somehow gives me an extra boost of gumption when I need it.
But there was one woman who I didn’t have to read about. She did not have running water or electricity until the age of 18, and in Wisconsin no less, which meant long walks through a lot of snow. Worked small jobs like cleaning beauty parlors until she met my grandpa, raised 4 children and loved on 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She emboldened grace. Never went without a smile. Loved McDonald’s, especially the ice cream. Having her family around her at Christmas was all she ever needed. And boy did she love her birds, and often drove her husband crazy with birdhouses and feeders.
I carry a part of her in who I am, and for that I am grateful. And just like the graceful woman she was, she passed peacefully in her sleep. Her legacy will live on in generations to come, and I think she would be proud of that. Love you Grammy!
