Vernon “Bud” Wilde, 79, of Imperial, Mo  passed away Sept. 6, 2017, at his home. Mr. Wilde was self-employed and drove buses for the Rockwood School District. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Born Aug. 11, 1938, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Vernon O. and Virginia A. (Engle) Wilde. He was preceded in death by his wife: Patricia Ann Wilde.

He is survived by two sons: Mike Wilde of Hillsboro and John (Deanna Ites) Wilde of Imperial; a daughter: Michelle Kruse of St. Louis; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his sweetheart: Sherry Sitzes; two brothers: Terry (Linda) Wilde and Den (Pat) Wilde; a sister: Pat (Charlie) Corrigan; and a sister-in-law: Janet Wilde.

He was preceded in death by a brother: Jimmy Wilde.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, at the funeral home. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
