Vaporean, George V.

Born Jan. 9, 1930.  Asleep in Jesus on Mon. Jan., 4, 2021. Beloved husband for 70 years of the late Mary L. Vaporean (nee Wedel); beloved father of George R., Cathleen (Craig) Blackey, Renee (Don) Wallen and Maureen (Virgil) Yowell; he was a beloved grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather.

George led a life of service starting as a City of St. Louis Firefighter. He was also a Boy Scout leader for many years. Holy Name Society member and longtime Server at Church. State Director of Good Sam Club including starting many chapters. Volunteer for Red Cross Disaster Relief, taught in an adult literacy volunteer program, was Fire Commissioner in Spring Hill, FL and worked tirelessly for the Spring Hill Civic Association.

He will be sorely missed by many, but his countless lessons to so many will live on for many years to come.

SERVICES: Private funeral at burial by KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital appreciated.
