Gary Lee Underwood was born June 14, 1951 to Rose and Ray Middleton. He was educated in the St. Louis Public School System. He was a loving husband to Pat, father to Daniel, Beth, Skip and Tracy. He was a doting grandfather to Sierra, Dallas and Lacy.
Gary was a talented musician playing both rhythm and bass guitars as well as the harmonica. He was instrumental in establishing various bands and entertaining audiences in local venues during his life. Some of his influences were The Beatles, Tom Petty and The Rolling Stones.
He worked in Sheet metal, including prototyping and brake press operator.
Gary is survived by his brother Ray and other family members and friends. He will be greatly missed.
Services: Visitation at KUTIS CITY CHAPEL, 2906 Gravois Wednesday October 20, 10:00 AM until services at 1:00 PM. Interment Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
Dad,
You are already missed dearly. You always pushed me to strive against all odds, I later figured out why. Life is precious and between going down Cherokee to show me your old stomping grounds, joining the Union to fight for our families, going to see your band play, through good and bad you were always there. You stood by mom, so many family members , and the grandkids. I commend you for giving us a wonderful life. No doubt the good definetly out weighed the bad. I will always love you f
