Shirley Turnbough, 82, passed away peacefully on January 4th, 2022. She was at home surrounded by her fur babies and family. Loving wife of the late Merlin Turnbough; loving mother of Toby (Charlotte) Turnbough, Tammy (Jim) Becker and Todd (Theresa) Turnbough; loving grandmother of Brittany, Trisha, Brianna, Samantha, Katie, Michaela, T.J. and Danielle; our dear aunt, sister-in-law, cousin and friend. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Magdalene (Blitz) Katzenberger.

Shirley was a kind-hearted, genuine, and caring mother to her children, grandchildren, friends, and fur-babies – Mia, Andie, and Turbo. She enjoyed spending time at her and Merlin’s retirement property on Lake Wappapello. Shirley could be seen driving her golf cart around, dogs in tow, watching her children and grandchildren enjoying the many activities her home away from home had to offer. She frequently tried out new recipes that she found online, and loved sharing them with her friends and family on Facebook. During football season, Shirley was a passionate fan, and was the player to beat in her fantasy league. She was also an avid traveler. She and Merlin spent many years traveling throughout the United States, and more recently Shirley traveled to several tropical destinations within the Caribbean and Mexico.

Shirley lived her life to the fullest, gaining lifelong friends and fond memories with those she loved. She will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her.
