Beloved wife of the late Harold L. Todd for over 66 years; loving mother of Pamela (Walter Scoggins) Todd and Cindy (Jack) Winter; adoring grandmother of Jason Todd Anderson, dear sister of Bill (Kate) Thomas and the late Thomas E. (Agnes) Thomas Jr., Ann (Hal) Andrews, Margaret (Dick) Wegman, Dolly (Leonard) Myers and Jim (Jackie) Thomas. Our dearest aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend to many.
Visitation at Ascension Lutheran Church (5347 Donovan Ave. 63109) on Monday February 22 from 10:00 am. until funeral service time at 11:00 am.. (Please note date of services). Services at Church will be live streamed on the church Facebook or you tube. Interment at J.B. National Cemetery. In lieu flowers contributions to Ascension Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice appreciated.
I have so many wonderful memories of this extremely generous, kind, creative and positive woman. She was instrumental in the early years of my marriage and showed me what it means to be someone who does everything they can to support not only the people they love, but to throw that generosity to others. In every way, Helen was a role model for me as a wife, mother and woman navigating the challenges of coming of age in the 80’s and 90’s. She taught me perseverance and counseled me many times when I was distraught. She showed every kindness to me when I moved to St Louis and she was phenomenal with my oldest son. I am grateful for every memory I have of this remarkable person. The world needs many more people exactly like her.
Aunt Helen was my godmother and I loved her dearly. I have so many happy memories of spending the night with my cousin’s Pam and Cindy at their house and our big family get togethers. I remember my family and theirs got in the station wagon (no seatbelts) and went to ride up the arch when it was new. When I was confirmed I had just got new bedroom furniture and she gave me beautiful scarves to put on it. I also remember the great Thanksgiving dinners she had when we moved back to Kansas City and had all my children there. I feel very fortunate to have had the family I did, and my many aunts and uncles, my godmother Aunt Helen and will treasure those memories for ever.
My Aunt Helen was a very dear and lovely lady. She was always so kind to me and my family. We were her California relatives. We did not get to share holidays together, but she always took the time to send a letter with her Christmas cards. She was a special soul. May she rest in peace
Aunt Helen was one my two favorite Aunts on my Dad’s side.
She was a lady of grace and dignity always but she also had great sense of humor. I loved her laugh! She laughed frequently!
When I was little, I called her “Aunt Bicky” and it just sort of stuck. She loved her family and I was blessed to caul her Aunt.
May she rest in peace. I love you dear Auntie.

I only met Cindy’s mom a few times, but both her parents stood out in my memory as being very kind and very entertaining and I remember spending a fun afternoon with them shortly after Jack and Cindy were married. I also remember how helpful she was when we had my dad’s memorial service at the community room of her development. I wish I had had a chance to get to know her better.
The Todd family is special to me and my husband Randy. Randy loved talking with Harold I was able to join the family in Harold final journey as his hospice nurse Helen was always kind concerned with our family I enjoyed visiting her at laclede groves. They were special church friends at ascension We send our love and prayers for comfort and peace Randy and Sharon Agne
I feel very blessed to have had Helen as my Aunt and Godmother. She was very close to my mom and I have many fond memories of our two families spending time together at holidays and that trip we took to Yellowstone. Then when I had a family and returned to St. Louis she and Uncle Harold were extremely helpful to us, opening their home to us and advising us wisely. She was a very unselfish and giving person. I was lucky to have been part of her family and will miss her very much.
Helen Todd, Mrs. Todd, as I called her was a woman that excelled in loving others. Her kindness and sincere concern is evidenced in the thoughtful and caring daughters she and (Harold) Mr. Todd raised. I enjoyed going to the Todd’s home to be with my friend, Cindy. On every occasion of being with Helen Todd, she was always able to find positive comments to make. She delighted in her husband, children, Jason and the rest of her family. I know she will be missed, but I am so thankful she is with Jesus in heaven, where there is no darkness because the constant light is the radiance of Jesus, and where there is no sorrow or pain. Happy home-going, Mrs. Todd (a.k.a. Helen).
I first met Jason’s grandparents when we were in high school, and they were so warm and welcoming that they could have been my own grandparents. Their concern for our well-being and the interest they took in Jay’s life showed me the special relationship they shared. He was always visiting with them to help out with various requests, and I knew they were sharing their love and support. I will always remember his grandma Helen’s soft voice and easy going demeanor. She and her husband, Harold, reminded me so much of my own grandparents that we found ourselves talking about them. Sharing anecdotes about growing up and the special relationship grandkids have with their grandparents. We had some great meals, and shared some laughs, and I will always look back fondly on those years.
Your parents were such lovely people. I remember visiting Helen at The Bistro and playing cards, taking a walk on the patio. She was always the gracious hostess. Sending lots of love your way. May your parents rest in peace.
