Mr. Thurmer was a U.S. Marine, owner of Thurmer’s Bar, a St. Louis Softball Hall of Famer and a member of the International Softball Congress Hall of Fame.
Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois Rd., Thursday, November 9, 9:15 am with mass celebrated at St. Anthony’s of Padua. Interment J.B. National Cemetery. Memorials to St. Mary’s High School (4701 S. Grand Blvd., 63111) or Jefferson Barracks V.A. Hospital. Visitation Wednesday, 3-8 pm.
