Rosemary Steinbrueck (nee Zimmermann) passed peacefully on January 13th at her home at Our Lady of Life. Beloved wife of the late William O. Steinbrueck; loving father of Kent Steinbrueck and Keri Steinbrueck Sarandos; adoring grandmother of Shaina Steinbrueck, Christopher Sarandos and Mitchell Sarandos; dear sister of the Thomas Zimmermann (Judy) and the late Rita Garleb, William Zimmermann and Raymond Zimmermann. Dearest sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Rosemary was born on August 12, 1932. She grew up in South St. Louis as the middle child of Edward and Elizabeth (Elsie) Zimmermann. After graduating from Southwest High School, she married Bill where they lived near the Steinbrueck grocery store on Marmaduke. In 1955 they had a son, Kent and then in 1967 a daughter, Keri.

Rosemary worked at Pet Milk Company offices and then at Maritz. She enjoyed her jobs until she stayed home to raise her family. Many times, she was the one driving her children to sports, friend’s houses and activities. She was always able to make friends that she kept in touch with. Neighbors from the past, friends of her children and their parents, high school classmates, Rotaryanns (Rotary Club of St. Louis), OLOF friends and many more.

Most of all she always loved spending time with her husband of over 68 years. Rosemary to some, Rosie to others, she most enjoyed being called Mom, Grandma, Aunt Rosie and others. May God be with HER.

SERVICES: Visitation at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois, on Thursday, January 20 from 4 until 7 pm. Service and interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery will be held in private.
