Beloved husband of Colette Smith for 36 years; loving dad of Michael (Shirley) Smith, Brian Smith, Patrick (Kelly) McNally, Kathleen (Leo) LeClair, Shawn McNally and the late Jeffrey Scott Smith (survived by fiancee Deb Tauscheck); dear grandpa of Melissa (John) Stuckey, Chris Smith, Amanda Smith, Michael (Whitney) Smith, Angela Smith, Tessa (Tyler) Tuschhoff, Jackie (John) Yount. Molly McNally, Maria McNally, Nicolette LeClair, Leo LeClair Jr., Dylan LeClair, and Nora McNally, and great-grandpa of Johnny Smith, Nolan Smith, Raiden Smith, Landry Smith, and Bristol Smith; dear brother of Dale (Nina) Smith, J.C. (Charline) Smith, Jim (Beth) Smith, Wilfred (Kathy) Smith, and Phyllis (Steve) Luckett, the late Marilyn (Cecil) Parks and the late Sue (Ray) Miller. Cherished brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend. William retired from the U.S. Department of Defense in 1986 and dedicated his life to serving God and his community through the Harbor Community Church. He used his gifts to counsel anyone in need and touched many lives during his time on earth. His kindness, compassion, and generosity will never be forgotten.

Services: Funeral at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd., Saturday, November 9, 11:00 a.m. Interment Shepherd Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to The Harbor Community Church appreciated. Visitation Friday, 4-7 p.m.
