Beloved husband of Diane Sieckmann (nee Azkoul) of 29 years; dearest father of Anthony and Marissa Sieckmann; our dear uncle, cousin and friend of many.
Rick loved to play golf and baseball.
Funeral Saturday, December 3, 10:00 a.m. at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois Rd. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery, 2000 Pennsylvania Ave. Pagedale, (63133). Visitation Friday 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Such a great guy and my former roommate! Saw him for years at The Christmas Party and he was always engaging and funny! I will miss him….
Rich and I were childhood buddies. We used to hang out and play fuzzball in the streets of Crown Point. Walking Coldwater creek, riding minibikes together and getting chased by the cops, the usual kid stuff. Good times!

Rick was a neighbor and good friend while we were growing up. We played baseball and football together in high school and reconnected again while attending Mizzou. Will remember the fun we had with Mark C, Pat S, Rick V, and a host of others.
Rick was a good friend and neighbor while we were growing up. We played tons of sports together in high school and reconnected at Mizzou. I will miss Rick’s infectious laugh and remember all the good times along with Mark C, Pat S, Rick V, and host of others.
We had some great times at RG and MIZZOU. Rick was a super teammate and even better friend. Nobody threw harder than Seick. He could rock and fire, i know he nailed me once when i crowded the plate.

Rick was my brother-in-law, he will be missed dearly. My prayers and thoughts are with Diane, Anthony and Marissa. I will remember the many family meals and celebrations throughout the years. Memory Eternal.
Rick ALWAYS had a smile and a laugh to offer up in a conversation. He never seemed down or upset. He was a great friend and will be greatly missed
Grew up with Rick from elementary, junior and senior high school & Mizzou. He was always in a good and positive mood. One of the best!
Played Koury League baseball against him. He hit a line drive over the shortstop s head, I played left field its was play the ball one hop or run and shoestring catch it. I chose the latter, caught the line drive and threw guy out at second, he was not happy. Needless to say he made me look like sissy when I had to lead off against the next inning. Told me at school it was the hardest ball he had ever hit.
Our deepest sympathies to Diane, Anthony, and Marissa. You are in our prayers. I don’t think I ever saw Rick without his trademark smile. May his memory be eternal!

I am deeply saddened to learn of Rick’s passing. He was a good friend and a great guy. I have many fond memories of Rick including that I dreaded facing him in the fuzzball tournaments at the annual Meiner’s Massacres, and that he was the only guy I knew who wore an Evil Roy Slade t-shirt! Diane, Anthony and Marissa are in our prayers along with the entire “family” of close friends who are mourning his passing. I know Rick wouldn’t want us to be sad, and is probably teeing off on the Celestial Golf Course! That sunshine we are enjoying is his smile.

Rick was a great guy. I played baseball with him for many years. He had a rocket arm.
After a game in Illinois, I was driving a car full of ballpayers home and we were coming over the bridge to St. Louis. Rick was arguing with Mike Nord (Mike later ended up playing for a Cardinals minor league team as a pitcher) about who had the strongest arm. They made a bet about who could throw a baseball over Busch Stadium. So Rick said “Billy pull it over at Stan the Man and pop out a new one (ball). We parked next to Stan and I gave him a brand new ball. He took few steps and hurls it over the top. The ball cleared the top by a lot. Busch Stadium was really high. We all looked at each other and couldn’t believe he just did it. Nord didn’t even make the attempt. We were all in shock. That was an unbelievable day. I really don’t know of anyone that coudl have pulled that one off other than Mike Shannon.
Rick will be missed!
I will always remember Rick as a great athlete, a scholar, and a great guy! I have nothing but great respect for Rick and will always remember the fun we had playing baseball or partying together! Rick could bring it!

Rick was a good friend of mine during high school and the year we shared a dorm room when he enrolled at Mizzou my sophomore year. I still remember him working out engineering stress and failure problems at his desk and I was zero help to him. He made washing dishes in the dorm cafeteria one of the highlights of my time at Mizzou. And don’t ask why two of the evergreen trees outside the physics building were shorter than the others. I was lucky to have had him as a friend.

One of my favorite humans, from Jr High to HS to my visits at Mizzou. So incredibly sweet, will forever be thankful that Jake and I got to see him at our pretend HS reunion. Rick will be missed by many.

Rick was my cousin. We grew up in different cities, and never saw him as an adult. My dad and his dad were brothers. We did meet, but we were very young. My condolences and heartfelt sympathy go out to his family and friends. I look forward to getting to know Rick in heaven.
