Donald Lawrence Ringkamp

Donald passed away Sunday, January 9, 2021, two weeks short of his 87th birthday, surrounded by his loving family and Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church.

Beloved husband of the late Carol (nee Burgman); loving father of Greg (Sue) Ringkamp, Doug Ringkamp, Jeff (Jan) Ringkamp, and Cathy Slade; cherished grandfather of Michael Ringkamp, Kurt (Katie) Ringkamp, Kristin Ringkamp, Scott (Alyssa) Ringkamp, Joe Ringkamp, Paul (Kristyn) Ringkamp, Emily Ringkamp, Justin (Jessica) Slade, Andrew (Gabby) Slade, Jacob (Taylor) Slade, Caroline Slade and the late Kelly Ringkamp; adoring great-grandfather of Samuel Slade, Nadia Slade, Ellie Slade, Hayden and Nolan Ringkamp, and the late Camille Slade; dearest son of the late Aloysius and the late Melba Ringkamp; dear brother of the late Al (the late Celeste) Ringkamp, Gerry (the late Joyce) Ringkamp, Steve (Patty) Ringkamp, Dolores Hoffman, and Ken (Mary) Ringkamp. Our dear brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Don enjoyed a life-long love of family, friendships and two distinctive and dedicated careers.

He provided strong support and encouragement for his family to pursue their dreams through projects and accomplishments. His creative wit and free-spirited charm earned him many friendships.

He attained a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and enjoyed a very successful career as an aerospace/munition’s leader for almost 40 years at Emerson Electric and ESCO. He retired in 1995 to pursue his second career of farming and land management at his beloved Carodon Farms which was affectionately named for his special relationship with Carol.

He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Don’s wishes of cremation without visitation and a private interment are being honored.

Services: Memorial Mass at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Church, 4900 Ringer Rd, St. Louis, MO 63129 at 9:30 AM on January 22, 2022. A celebration of Don’s life will follow in the parish center after mass.

In lieu of flowers contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital appreciated.
