Richmeyer, Viriginia R., (nee Zaiger) passed away on December 25, 2022.
Dear wife of the late Otho Richmeyer; loving mother of Thomas (Brenda) Richmeyer, Linda (Philip) DeLuca, Betty (Dan) Chambers, John (Sandy) Richmeyer, Joe (Barb) Richmeyer and the late Jim Richmeyer; cherished grandmother of 14 and beloved great-grandmother of many; dear sister of Jim (Mary Ann) Zaiger and the late Henry Zaiger.
Services: Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, on Thursday, December 29, 8:30 am until 10:30 am then to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church for 11:00 am mass. Interment Tuesday, Jan 3, 11:15 am at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
The first time I met her in January 1976 she was so beautiful, kind, energetic, positive, loving, and oh so very sweet. The last time she was conscious in December 2022, she was so beautiful, kind, positive, loving, and oh so very sweet. Nothing changed with Ginny in the 46 years I was privileged to know her, love her, and be loved in return. What beautiful memories I have over those years, and I will cherish them forever. I loved her like my own mother. Rest in peace as I have peace knowing you are in heaven.

My fondest memory of Ginny is our family trip to Vegas back in the 90s! Lots of good memories with the family get togethers around the holidays. Miss you already…what a fun lady to be around!
A wonderful, long life lived well. Imagine the things she saw.
Linda, Betty, John, Joe–we are now orphans. I have anticipated this day for 15 years and am yet still flummoxed. In one sense as the oldest child I have known mom the longest. The irony though is, in moving from Missouri to Florida in summer of 1970, excepting a few vacations and mom’s 2-3 spring training trips with Jane Larsen, I probably knew her the least.
Two ‘look backs’ and then a look forward. As a young lad I see mom –in the days before microwaves–warming up milk in a large pan and adding cocoa and sugar to make us hot chocolate on cold Winter days (like now!) And Summertime found her outdoors grilling probably hundreds of pork steaks over the years.
Looking ahead, some say the Bible is an acronym for Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. Mom has indeed departed this life–for a much, much better one! The Bible teaches us that she was met by Jesus Christ and a ‘great cloud of witnesses” who have been cheering her on–her mom and dad, husband, dad’s parents Eugene and Irma (whom she never met), Jim, our Uncles Henry, Harold, and Buck, Aunts Pat, Edna, Dee, nephew Mark, and many others. It also says “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.” So, as amazing and as good as we can imagine mom now residing in heaven, it is “gooder” still! Mom, we love and miss you and look forward to seeing you once again. “What a day of rejoicing that will be!’
We’ll Miss Ginny. She was the sweetest, kindest and most loving lady I’ve ever known and always had a smile on her face. We couldn’t thank her enough for all the rides she gave to Vita and Pauline before they earned their wings. Hopefully, they are now chauffeuring her around, showing her the lay of the land. May she RIP.
A more beautiful soul and sweet lady could not be found. She was always kind, helpful and considerate and knew how to have fun! She helped my mom Pauline and Aunt Vita so much and they were the best of friends. Thank you Ginny. We love you. RIP.
Ginny was the sweetest soul, beloved grandmother to my best friend, Talia.
During Christmases, we would spend time with Ginny playing fun games! My favorite memory when we played Scattergories. The letter was “E” and the category was “library.” We were all stumped! But not Ginny! When it was Ginny’s turn, she had the sweetest smile and proudly proclaimed “eyelashes!” We all laughed and she won the game!
A few weeks ago I had a dream of Ginny sitting next to her brother, Henry. They were smiling at me, looking happy. That is how I will always remember her.
I love you Grandma Ginny, and I love you Talia and Betty.
Today would have been your 100th birthday. Your sweetness, kindness and fortitude will always be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to spend time with you. I miss you and think of you often; I always will. There is definitely a void in our lives. You said “Life is Change” so we will continue with your virtues in mind to help guide us.

Linda, Betty, Joe, John, Tom, I am so sorry, I did not know about your
mothers passing I think about her all the time, and was surprised to see
that she had passed a way on Christmas Day . Please for give me, I would have
been there if I would have known. Please accept my love and sympathy.
She was a wonderful neighbor and friend.
I think the day my Grandma was born, died and buried holds significance. In the least of showing that she was a unique and special person. My relationship with her was minimal, her impact (seen and unseen) I believe is much larger. We will love and miss her and in ways she will always be with us. RIP Grandma <3
Tom-Linda-John-Joe-Betty-I just recently heard about your mom & I’m SO sorry ! We were long time next door neighbors & when she moved we kept in contact- She always had a smile & OH those dimples!! We had lots of fun as casino buddies-I know she’ll be missed by many!RIP Ginny!
