Margaret Marie Rengier (nee Woods) died peacefully on Sunday August 8, 2021, with family by her side in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Beloved wife of the late Jerome A. Rengier; dear mother of Peggy Minor (Jimmy), Nancy Williams (Gary), Jerome P. Rengier, Robert Rengier, Patricia Austin, Raymond Rengier (JoAnn), Phyllis Rengier (Charlie Watson), and Annette Rengier (David Perkins). Dearest grandmother of Paul Minor, Maggie Minor, Tammy Voegele (Eric), Todd Williams (Jennifer), Travis Williams ( Linda ), David Austin ( Liz ), Aubrey Austin Vaughn ( Robby  ), John Austin, Becca Austin, Nicholas Rengier, Alexis Rengier, Kara Watson Mason (Marcus), Kristin Watson Kubler (Christopher), Kent Watson (Kristina), LeeAnn Eckert, and Brian Kline. Adored great-grandmother of 35 great grandchildren. Dearest friend and teacher of unconditional love and unwavering faith.

She was born July 19, 1928, in St. Louis, Missouri to Earl E and Delia Woods (Amad).  She attended St. Agnes school in St. Louis, the oldest girl of her six siblings. She spent her teenage years dancing every chance she could and writing letters daily to friends serving in World War II. She was a strong, thoughtful young woman with many suitors vying for her hand. She accepted a proposal from the love of her life Jerry, and they were married September 27, 1947, in St. Louis, Missouri at St. Agnes Church. She worked at their family owned butcher and grocery store on the corner of Selena and Pestalozzi streets in St. Louis, during the early years of marriage. Then later worked as the Inventory Control Office Manager for Emerson Electric, formerly White Rogers in St. Louis, Missouri.

Marge balanced her family and work while she left one of our fondest memories etched on our hearts. She would schedule her break during work to ensure she could kiss her children goodnight through the fence between White Rogers property and her family’s home, leaving her lipstick “kiss” print on the back of their tiny hands to take to bed with them.

Margaret, known to her family and friends as Marge or Re. She spent most of her time as a parent, mentor, teacher, grandparent, friend, and caregiver to others. Her strengths of unconditional love and unfailing faith carried her through the many trials and challenges life placed at her feet and taught her children much of the same. She could feed a small army with a pound of burger, and she joyously invited others to join in meals with her already full table.  Having unfailing faith in her Lord, she gave Him the credit for every step she took and trusted Him to direct her life with acceptance of all situations.

Margaret loved her family, dancing, animals, watching her birds, visiting with friends, playing in water, and reading Readers Digest short stories. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to her children and assisting with grandchildren. She cared for many family members when they couldn’t care for themselves, including her mother-in-law, mother, grandmother, and many of her siblings.

She was a blessing to her daughter Phyllis and son-in-law Charlie as they provided the happiest home full of love and support, allowing her to live her last years safely surrounded by love, happiness, and her birds.

Mrs. Rengier is survived by her daughters; Peggy Minor, Patricia Austin, Phyllis Rengier and Annette Rengier, along with 16 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome A Rengier, and her children, Nancy Williams, Jerome P Rengier, Robert Rengier and Raymond Rengier, also her sons-in-law Jimmy Minor and Gary Williams, her granddaughter Maggie Minor and great-grandson Camden James.
