96, Went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 18, 2019. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Carl Reitz, married for 63 years. She is survived by her daughter Cynthia Grothman and son-in-law Earl. Dear aunt and friend of many.

Polly was born in Lexington, SC, and received her RN from the School of Nursing at South Carolina State Hospital, Columbia and Roper Hospital, Charleston, SC. She was a member of the Cadet Nurse Corps. She moved to St. Louis in the late 1940’s to work at St. Louis City Hospital, then later met Carl while working at Frisco Hospital. She continued to enjoy a variety of jobs throughout her nursing career including the American Red Cross, Central Christian School, Bethesda Dilworth Home, and Dr. Duggan’s Medical Office. Polly and Carl were  active longtime members of Central Presbyterian Church. The family is very thankful for the loving care she received as a  resident at St. Agnes Home for the past 4 years, as well as her recent care from Kindred Hospice.
