Reid, Leonard Rufus “Len”

Born 11/2/23, Died 6/17/16 at age 92.  Leonard was the most cherished child of the late Pearl Stallings Reid Bohlinger, and he was a devoted son. Husband of the late Shirley Schultheis Reid for more than 50 years. Father of  Stephanie (Lawrence) Westermeyer, Deborah (Albert) DeLuca, Brian  (Denise) Reid and the late Mark Reid; grandfather of Adam (Amanda  Lorman) DeLuca, Andrew (Megan) Westermeyer, Alexander Reid,  Kathryn (Eric) Lucey, Bradley Reid,  Sister Mary Mother of Truth  Westermeyer and Michael DeLuca.

   Len served in the U.S. Army during WWII and always said “I won the war”. Two purple hearts and a bronze star support his claim. Len identified himself as a Roosevelt High School Rough Rider. A proud graduate of U of MO “J School” and a lifetime supporter of the Affton School District. It was in Affton that he served as President of the PTA School Board Member and ultimately President of the school board.

Services:  Funeral from KUTIS  AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois, Tuesday, June 21, 12:00 Noon. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider one of Len’s favorite  charities, Wounded Warrior Project, Vietnam Veterans Memorial Foundation or the Smile Train. Visitation Monday, 4-8 p.m.
