Rees, Lisa Ann, March 26, 1958 – June 29, 2020 Beloved wife of Carl F. Rees for 38 years. Loving mother of Gabriel (Lauren) Rees and Claire Rees. Dear grandma of Kayli, Logan and Hannah. Beloved daughter of Vernon and the late Ann Edelmann. Beloved sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend to many.
Lisa was a selfless, sincere and caring person who was all about helping and supporting others and making them feel special. She loved taking photographs, decorating, and most of all shopping, mostly for others.
Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, on Sunday, July 12, 4 to 8 pm. Service Monday, July 13, 11:00 AM at Mary, Mother of the Church, 5901 Kerth Road (63128). Masks and social distancing required. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to American Stroke Assoc. or American Cancer Society, appreciated.
My beautiful college friend of 44 years. You will be missed beyond words.
So many fond memories of traveling the globe & going thru the different stages of life together. You were blessed beyond words with a loving & wonderful husband. two great children, grandchildren, Mother, Father & friends who loved you & were so proud to call you family & friend.

Sorry and surprised to hear of Lisa’s passing, we spoke briefly at our reunion and would never have guessed Lisa had any health concerns. I loved her kind, warm welcoming laugh and way she had about her. Prayers for peace at this time.

Lisa, I will always remember your laugh. It was infectious. I could walk into any room in college and hear it and just start laughing, even if I didn’t know what you were laughing about. I am glad you came to the Columbia College reunion in October, but wish that I had spent more time talking with you. Still, I know your presence there made those friends closest to you happy and it is a memory we will all treasure in our hearts. My deepest sympathies to Carl and your family. Your passing was a shock and you will be missed forever.

I am Bill Travers sister and met Lisa a few times when Dan got married. She was so sweet and pleasant to be around. I know Bill feels the same way. We are so sorry for your loss.

I do not remember a time in my life that you were not there. Your laugh always meant there was fun to be had (mostly with my siblings and their friends). I will miss seeing you smiling with Mary in pictures of destination meet-ups (Silo and Spring Training) or simple St. Louis dinners together. I know that you are missed by so many. Your loving and giving heart was a gift to all of us! My prayers are with your family.

I loved Lisa very much, even though we have not been close for years , her & I still kept in touch.
I will never forget how she gave me courage, self confidence, gave me a part of her love for music, laughter, loving smile & adventure.
We were in 2nd grade & I was being bullied by some other girls ,we became friends all through high school.
She changed my life, I was shy & scared & she made me laugh & was my friend.

Dear Carl, Gabe, Claire,
You know without saying how very blessed you were to be the focus of Lisa’s life (not to mention the grandchildren) and the sorrow, grief, and pain you feel now is proof of that. As time passes the tears will dry for the most part and your fond memories of Lisa will be your reward of having shared your portion of life with her. Your ultimate reward will be when you see Lisa again, and that will be for eternity. As a believer in, God, and as a past neighbor I too look forward to hearing her infectious laugh again. Moving away from Assumption was tough on us and our daughter Michelle, who thought of Claire as a sister. Oh boy, those were good times, not to mention the winery bus trips. So very sorry, Lisa & Carl, for letting the distance between Cincinnati and St. Louis to water-down our relationship, but it did not water-down our love for you.
Lisa was lovely and friendly, and that laugh! I can only imagine how much her family will miss that laugh. Some people are put on this earth to lift others up, and that was Lisa. She was an integral part of our college group and will be terribly missed. My deepest sympathies to her family, may you find peace in memories of your dear wife and mother.
I think we are all better people for having known Lisa. I’ll never forgot that smile and laugh of hers, and how special she made everyone feel no matter how long it was since you’d seen each other. Heaven gained a great angel. We love you Carl, Gabe, Claire, and the rest of the Rees Family.
Carl and Family – I am so deeply saddened to hear of Lisa’s passing. It’s truly unbelievable. I cannot imagine what you are all going through – and her dad…..oh my gosh. Lisa was filled with such joy! Her laughter was so contagious – her smile, everything about her just beamed happiness.
