Ramers, Kenneth Jay, age 65, of St. Louis, MO, passed away at his residence, Friday, May 6, 2016. Jay (Ken) was born February 20, 1951, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Kenneth and Myra, nee Stiehl, Ramers. He moved with his family to Belleville, IL  in 1966. He attended Belleville West High School and graduated from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville with a Bachelor of Science degree. In 1980, he married Helen, nee Klasek, Ramers of St. Louis, MO. They have two children, Rachel, nee Ramers, Bonner and Jennifer Klasek. He was employed at Beverage Concepts until his retirement. He was enjoyed all sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. He was an avid reader and always enjoyed trying new recipes.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife Helen; his father Kenneth Gordon; mother and father in law, Walter and Lorraine, nee Hausner, Klasek; sister Martha Ramers Beasley; brother John Young Ramers; sister in law Janet Klasek; brother in law Terry Klasek and uncle George Jay Stiehl.

He is survived by his mother Myra, nee Stiehl, Ramers; daughter Rachel, nee Ramers, Bonner; son in law Quintin Bonner; daughter Jennifer Klasek; aunt Phyllis, nee Bowen, Stiehl; sisters in law Linda, nee Klasek, Duffy, Judy, nee Klasek, Medley and Joanne, nee Klasek, Radford; brothers in law Robert Klasek and James Klasek and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral: Funeral at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, on Saturday, May 14th at 10:00 AM with Rev. Mark Wiesner officiating. Visitation will be Friday, May 13th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
